Laravel hosting Beta

Laravel hosting, deployed from Git.

Run your Laravel app on a private cloud server. Netkeel creates its database, deploys it from GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket with Composer and shared storage, and runs the scheduler for you.

30-day money-back guarantee · Billed by the hour · No contract

How it works

Laravel live in three steps.

STEP 1

Create a Laravel server

Choose Laravel, a cloud provider, a region and a size. Every website on the server is a Laravel website.

From 1 GB · $9.50/mo
STEP 2

Add a website

Its database is created with it, and it starts on its own preview address with HTTPS.

STEP 3

Deploy your repository

Add the website's deploy key to your repository and click Deploy now. The Laravel preset runs Composer and keeps .env and storage between releases.

Deploy now · Roll back

What you get

What Netkeel does for Laravel.

Git deploy with releasesDeploy a branch or a single commit. Each deploy builds a new release and switches to it in one step; earlier releases are kept for rollback.
The Laravel presetcomposer install, shared .env and storage, and config, route and view caches rebuilt after each deploy.
Migrations, if you want themTick Run php artisan migrate --force and migrations run before the switch. If they fail, the site stays on its current release.
The scheduler, handledLaravel's scheduler runs every minute from the live release. No cron job to add.
Environment variablesSet your .env values in the panel. Saved values are never shown again.
Front-end buildsAdd npm ci and npm run build to the build commands; Node.js is available to the build.
Its own databaseA MySQL-compatible database for every website, added to the app's settings unless you set your own.
SSH and SFTP per siteEach site has its own isolated login, with Composer in its shell.
PHP 8.0 to 8.5Choose the PHP version and limits for each website.
Daily backupsOne-click restore, plus encrypted off-site copies, on from the start.

On every server too: a firewall with automatic banning, free SSL, logs, monitoring and alerts, and team access with roles. See all features →

Good to know

What is not available yet.

Netkeel does not start a queue worker for you, and deploys start when you click Deploy now, not on every push. Laravel servers run NGINX only, so .htaccess files are ignored. Staging, cloning and moving to another server are not available for Laravel websites yet.

Step-by-step guides are in the Laravel docs.

Pricing

Pay for the server, not for each site.

Servers start at $9.50/mo for 1 GB, billed by the hour and never more than the monthly price. Put as many Laravel apps on a server as it can carry.

Questions

Laravel hosting, answered.

Does Netkeel run Laravel queue workers?

Not yet. Netkeel runs Laravel's scheduler every minute, but it does not start a queue worker for you.

Does it deploy when I push to my repository?

No. Deploys start when you click Deploy now in the panel, for the latest commit of the branch or a commit you choose. You can roll back to any release still kept.

Do I have to use Git?

No. You can upload the whole project with SFTP or the file manager. The public folder is served, and the scheduler starts once the project's artisan file is there.

How does my app reach its database?

If you set no DB_ values yourself, Netkeel adds the website's own database settings. If you set them, use localhost as the host with DB_SOCKET=/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock.

What does beta mean?

Laravel hosting is new on Netkeel. Your websites are backed up and looked after like any other, but some features WordPress websites have, such as staging, cloning and moving to another server, are not available for Laravel yet.
