How it works

Drupal live in three steps.

Good to know

What is not available yet.

Staging, cloning, moving to another server and deploying from Git are not available for Drupal websites yet. Drupal needs PHP 8.3 or newer, so the panel won't switch a Drupal website to an older PHP.

Step-by-step guides are in the Drupal docs.

Pricing

Pay for the server, not for each site.

Servers start at $9.50/mo for 1 GB, billed by the hour and never more than the monthly price. Put as many Drupal websites on a server as it can carry.

Questions

Drupal hosting, answered.

Drupal CMS or Drupal core?

Drupal CMS comes with ready-made features for content, media, search and SEO, and is the default. Drupal core installs the standard profile, a clean start to build on.

How are updates done?

When a newer version is available, click Update in the panel. Netkeel takes a backup, updates Drupal with Composer and runs its database updates. If the site does not answer afterwards, its files and database are put back automatically.

Do I need to set up cron?

No. The server runs Drupal's cron every 30 minutes as the website, and Drupal's own cron on page views is switched off.

How do I add modules?

With Composer over SSH, using the website's own login. The Drupal project is in the website's folder and the web root is web/.

What does beta mean?

Drupal hosting is new on Netkeel. Your websites are backed up and looked after like any other, but some features WordPress websites have, such as staging, cloning and moving to another server, are not available for Drupal yet.
