Delete your account

What deleting your account does depends on whether you own the workspace.

  • If you are a team member, deleting your account removes your login and its sessions. The workspace and its websites belong to the owner and are not affected.
  • If you own the workspace, deleting your account deletes the workspace too, with its team members, activity, alerts and account credit. This cannot be undone.

A workspace can only be deleted once nothing is left running or owed. The Delete account section lists anything still in the way:

  • websites still hosted;
  • servers still running (they are billed until they are deleted);
  • an unpaid balance.

To clear them:

  1. Download any backups you want to keep. Backups on a server are deleted with it.
  2. Delete your websites first, then your servers. A server that still hosts websites cannot be deleted.
  3. Pay any balance under Billing.

Then come back to Delete account.

Receipts for past payments stay available from the payment processor.

  1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account settings.
  2. Open Delete account.
  3. Type your email address to confirm.
  4. Enter your Current password.
  5. Click Delete my account (team member) or Delete account and workspace (owner).

You are signed out straight away.

If you sign in with Google and have no password yet, set one first under Password. See Your profile.

To take away a team member’s access without deleting your own account, remove them from Users. See Team members.
