WordPress

Every WordPress website has a WordPress group in its menu, so you can run WordPress without opening its dashboard:

  • Plugins and Themes: install, activate, update and delete.
  • Users: add accounts, change roles and passwords, sign in as a user.
  • Updates: WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, with automatic rollback.
  • Security: switches such as Block XML-RPC, Block user enumeration, Disable the dashboard file editor and Hide the WordPress version.
  • Configuration: settings in wp-config.php.
  • WordPress cron: WordPress’s own scheduled tasks. See Scheduled tasks.
  • Debug log: WordPress debug switches and the debug log.
  • WP-CLI terminal: run WP-CLI commands in the browser.

Click WP Admin at the top of the website’s page. Netkeel signs you in to the WordPress dashboard in a new tab, with no password to type.

Open the arrow next to WP Admin to see which account it signs in as. Click Change user to pick another one under Users. See Users.

If a plugin, theme or update has broken the website, open More at the top of its page. Under Site down? Recovery are three fixes:

  • Disable all plugins
  • Activate default theme
  • Reinstall WordPress core
  1. Click the fix you want.
  2. Tick “Yes, I understand and want to continue.”
  3. Click the button to start.

Netkeel creates a recovery point before it changes WordPress, then runs the fix in the background. Follow it in the activity panel.

For a full rollback to an earlier day, restore a backup instead.
