Apps

Netkeel runs more than one kind of website. You choose the type when you create a server, and every website on that server is of that type.

Type Runs Database Deploy from Git
WordPress WordPress on PHP Always No
PHP Your PHP code Optional Yes
Laravel (beta) Your Laravel app on PHP Always Yes
Node.js (beta) Your Node.js app, kept running Optional Yes
Static HTML, CSS and JavaScript files None Yes
EmDash (beta) The EmDash CMS, kept running Built in (SQLite) No
Drupal (beta) Drupal CMS or Drupal core on PHP Always No
Joomla (beta) Joomla on PHP Always No
OpenClaw (beta) The OpenClaw AI assistant None No
Hermes Agent (beta) The Hermes AI agent None No

Every website, whatever its type, gets its own address with free SSL, automatic backups, logs and analytics, redirects, cron jobs and the file manager. See Websites for the parts of a website’s page they share.

The website’s menu shows only the sections its type uses:

  • WordPress websites have the WordPress group, page cache, Redis, SMTP, staging, cloning, moving and import and export. See WordPress.
  • PHP and Laravel websites have Deployments and PHP, and Databases when they have a database.
  • Node.js websites have Node.js app and Deployments, and Databases when they have one. They don’t run PHP.
  • Static websites have Deployments. They have no PHP and no database.
  • EmDash websites have EmDash, where you set up, run and update it. They don’t run PHP and have no Databases section: the database is part of the website’s files.
  • Drupal and Joomla websites have a section named after the application, where you see its administrator credentials and update it, plus PHP and Databases.
  • OpenClaw and Hermes Agent websites have AI agent, where you manage the agent itself.

Staging, cloning, moving to another server and import and export are not yet available for types other than WordPress.

WordPress, EmDash, Drupal and Joomla are installed for you. PHP, Laravel, Node.js and static websites run your own code, and OpenClaw and Hermes Agent each get a server of their own.
